Homeostasis
Your body is like a smart thermostat always trying to stay just right. If you get too hot, you sweat; too cold, you shiver. This balance is how you stay alive. It is not a frozen balance but a moving one, like a person on a tightrope. Every second, your heart and lungs work together to make sure nothing gets out of whack.
Balance is not stillness. It is constant tiny corrections. Life is a tightrope walker who never stops moving.
Homeostasis uses negative feedback loops: a sensor detects deviation from set point and triggers an effector to counteract the change. Maintains internal milieu within narrow physiological limits (pH, temperature, osmolarity). The biological manifestation of Cybernetics. Connects to Control Theory and Allostasis.
