Universal Entropy
Entropy is a big word that means everything in the universe eventually gets tired and falls apart. Think of a sandcastle that gets washed away by the tide. This sounds sad, but it is actually how the universe stays fresh! If the sandcastle never washed away, there would be no room to build a new one tomorrow. Going down into the underworld is just a part of the universe's natural cycle of cleaning up the old stuff to make room for the new. It reminds us that even when things break, it is just the universe getting ready to start over.
You are a grain of sand being blown by the wind. Feel how easy it is to go where the universe takes you. The sandcastle was beautiful. The sand is still here. Tomorrow it will be something new.
Entropy measures disorder in a system. In closed systems, entropy always increases. But in dissipative structures (like life), entropy drives complexity. Systems must break down (descent/disorder) to reorganize at higher complexity (ascent/order). Decay is not system failure but a prerequisite for evolution. Accepting the descent into entropy aligns with fundamental cosmic mechanics.
SOUND: The soft shhh of wind blowing through autumn leaves.
SMELL: Dry wood and dust: the scent of time passing.
TASTE: A bitter herb or tea: the taste of letting go.
TOUCH: The texture of a crumbling, dry stone.
SIGHT: A star-filled sky: even stars eventually run out of fuel.
BODY: Relaxing every muscle until you are completely limp: the body practicing entropy.
Music: Synchronicity II by The Police
