Bayesian Inference
Bayesian inference is a fancy way of saying I changed my mind because I learned something new. Imagine you think it is going to rain, but then the sun comes out. You update your guess! It is like being a scientist who keeps adding clues to a map. The more clues you get, the closer you get to the treasure. You are not stuck in one way of thinking forever.
The map is never finished. Every new clue redraws it. The smartest person in the room is the one still willing to update.
Bayesian inference uses Bayes' Theorem to calculate hypothesis probability as evidence accumulates. Central to modern AI and scientific inquiry. Moves from binary True/False toward probabilistic worldview. Connects to Fallibilism: no belief is totally immune to future revision.
SOUND: A song that slowly gets louder and clearer as you get closer.
SMELL: Baking bread getting stronger as you walk toward the kitchen.
TASTE: A soup that tastes better as you add the right spices.
TOUCH: Feeling around in a dark room until you find the light switch.
SIGHT: A blurry photo slowly coming into focus.
BODY: Learning to ride a bike and feeling your balance improve every second: knowledge as motion.
Music: Stay Gold by Stevie Wonder
