Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is like being the judge of your own thoughts. Instead of believing everything you hear, you stop and ask: Is this really true? It is like checking fruit at the grocery store for bruises before you buy it. This helps you make choices that are good for you and the people around you. You are not easily pushed around. You start to trust your own inner compass.

Do not eat the fruit without checking it. Do not believe the thought without testing it. Your mind deserves the same care as your body.

Critical Thinking is self-directed, self-disciplined, self-corrective thought. Requires mastery of abstract concepts to analyze and evaluate information from observation, experience, or communication. Deeply linked to the Socratic Method. Bridges information processing and true wisdom (Phronesis).

SMELL: The sharp, awakening scent of peppermint oil.

TASTE: Pure, clean water that washes away other flavors.

TOUCH: Feeling the grain of wood to see if it is real or plastic.

SIGHT: Cleaning foggy glasses and seeing the world snap into focus.

BODY: Balancing on one foot and finding your center of gravity: clarity as physical stillness.
