Altruism
Altruism is when you do something kind even if you do not get anything back for it. It is like giving your umbrella to someone in the rain while you get a little wet. It shows that you value other people's happiness just as much as your own. This kind of selfless love is the most powerful way to fight against evil or bad things. When one person is selfless, it inspires everyone else to be brave and kind too. It is the light that never goes out as long as we keep passing it on.
The light that never goes out as long as we keep passing it on. One candle lights another without losing its own flame. That is the physics of generosity. You do not have less love because you gave love. You do not have less kindness because you spent kindness. The candle does not dim. The room gets brighter. Selfishness hoards and starves. Altruism spends and multiplies. Evil is subtraction disguised as protection. Good is addition disguised as risk. Give the umbrella away. You will not dissolve in the rain. But they might dissolve in the storm without it.
Altruism: principle and practice of concern for the happiness of others, transcending ego-centric survival. Represents the redundancy of goodness in the master functional — ensuring unique value of the collective is maintained even when individual self-interest fluctuates. One candle lights another without losing its flame. Evil is subtraction disguised as protection. Good is addition disguised as risk.
