Symbolic Orientation

Many special buildings are pointing at something important, like where the sun rises or a special city far away. It is like the building is a giant compass. This tells us that our lives have a direction and a purpose. When we know which way is home or up, we feel less lost in the big world. It helps us feel like we are perfectly placed right where we are.
