Liberation (The Broken Chain)

Being liberated is like being a bird that finally finds the door to its cage is open. For a long time, you might have felt stuck by a bad habit or a sad memory that felt like a heavy chain. Redemption unlocks that chain and lets you fly away into the big wide world. It means you are not a prisoner to your past anymore. You can breathe deep, run fast, and choose where you want to go next without anything holding you back.

You are not a prisoner to your past anymore. The door was always open. The cage was habit. The cage was shame. The cage was the story you told yourself about who you are. Liberation does not mean the cage never existed. Liberation means you stopped sitting in it. The bird does not analyze the cage. The bird flies. Every tradition that promises salvation is really promising this: you can leave the cage. The chains are real but the lock is not. And the sky was always there. Waiting.

Soteriological liberation: deliverance from the self or ego keeping one bound to destructive patterns. Transition from closed system to open creative one. The chains are real but the lock is not. And the sky was always there. Waiting.

SOUND: Wind whistling through an open window: the sound of a cage that lost its door.

SMELL: Salty ocean air: the scent of a horizon with no walls.

TASTE: A sharp zesty lemon: the taste of something so alive it makes you wince.

TOUCH: Taking off a heavy winter coat: the body discovering how light it actually is.

SIGHT: A wide-open field with no fences: freedom you can see from edge to edge.

BODY: Butterflies in your stomach: the body feeling weightless because the chain is gone.
