Intermolecular Forces
These aren't "super glue" bonds; they are more like "handshakes" or "sticky notes." They let water be liquid and help geckos walk on walls, but they are easy to break.
Lightly touch your fingertips together and pull apart. That tiny "stick" is a Van der Waals force. It's the "Gentle Hug" of the universe.
Intermolecular forces (London Dispersion, Dipole-Dipole, Hydrogen Bonding) dictate the physical phase (Solid, Liquid, Gas) of a substance. This relates to Social Cohesion, where "weak ties" (acquaintances) are often more important for overall structure than "strong ties" (family).
SOUND: The "peel" of a sticker being pulled off.
SMELL: Perfume wafting โ the bonds are weak enough to let the scent fly away.
TASTE: The way honey sticks to your mouth.
TOUCH: The "tackiness" of tape.
SIGHT: A spider web shimmering in the sun.
BODY: Feeling the "drag" when walking through water.
Music: Tired by Adele
