Genetic Mutation

Sometimes, when nature is copying the instructions to build a new baby, it makes a tiny "typo." Most of the time, the mistake doesn't matter, but sometimes that "typo" gives a bird a stronger beak or a person blue eyes. These happy accidents are how life tries out new ideas.

Perfection is boring. The "glitches" in life are actually the seeds of the future. You are a unique masterpiece created by a billion tiny, beautiful mistakes.

Mutations are stochastic alterations in the nucleotide sequence of the genome. While often deleterious or neutral, they provide the Phenotypic Plasticity and raw variance necessary for adaptation. This connects to Entropy and Thermodynamics; life uses localized "disorder" (mutations) to create higher-order "complexity" (evolution).

SOUND: Static on a radio. It's random noise, but sometimes you hear a new song through the fuzz.

SMELL: The scent of a mutant flower that smells slightly different than the others in the garden.

TASTE: The difference between a sweet apple and a tart one. Mutations changed the sugar levels.

TOUCH: The texture of a scar. It's a change in your "normal" skin, showing how things can alter.

SIGHT: Seeing someone with two different colored eyes (heterochromia). That is a visible "typo."

BODY: Flexing a muscle you didn't know you had. Some people can wiggle their ears because of tiny "typos" in their muscle instructions.
