Constants: The North Star
A constant is a number that never, ever changes, no matter what else is happening in the problem. While the "x" and "y" are jumping around and changing their values, the constant stays exactly where it is. It is like a sturdy rock in the middle of a rushing river that you can hold onto to keep from being swept away. Even when life feels crazy and everything is moving, there are some truths that are always solid.
A deep sense of knowing that something is permanent, like the love of a parent or the rising of the sun.
Constants represent the Invariants of a system. In physics, constants like c (the speed of light) or G (the gravitational constant) define the very fabric of our reality. Without these fixed values, the universe would lack the coherence required for complex life to emerge. They are the Still Point in the turning world, providing the framework for all relational dynamics.
