Recursion
Recursion is a story that says: Once upon a time, there was a girl who told a story about a girl who told a story... It never ends because the rule repeats inside itself. In math, a simple rule draws a line, then the same rule is used on the new line. This creates snowflakes and stars. Big beautiful things come from doing one small thing over and over with love.
Big beautiful things come from doing one small simple thing over and over with love. The recipe calls for itself.
Recursion: a solution depends on smaller instances of itself. In fractals, the geometric generator is applied indefinitely. Relates to strange loops in cognitive science where hierarchical systems cycle back to their own starting point.
SOUND: An echo in a deep canyon that repeats until it fades.
SMELL: The smell of rain (petrichor) that returns with every water cycle.
TASTE: Sourdough starter fed and regrown day after day for years.
TOUCH: Tracing a spiral seashell with your finger.
SIGHT: A Droste effect picture: a person holds a picture of themselves.
BODY: Your breath going in and out, a loop that keeps you alive.
