The Law of Non-Contradiction

Logic is like a rule that says a light cannot be both on and off at the exact same moment. If something is a circle, it cannot also be a square, because the rules of being a circle do not allow corners. This helps us find truth because it weeds out ideas that fight with themselves. When two things cancel each other out, they cannot both be true at once. Following this rule keeps our minds clear and helps us see the world as it really is.

A thing cannot be and not be at the same time. This is the bedrock on which all truth is built. The first yes or no in the universe.

The Law of Non-Contradiction (¬(P∧¬P)) is the ontological bedrock of classical logic. Contradictory propositions cannot both be true in the same sense at the same time. This prevents the principle of explosion. Connects to the Pauli Exclusion Principle: two fermions cannot occupy the same quantum state simultaneously.
