The Origin Point (0,0)

Imagine a giant map with a tiny dot in the middle where everything starts. That dot is zero, the Origin. Every direction is measured from that starting dot. Without it, we would not know where here is. Zero gives us a home base to return to. It is the center of the circle and the start of every race.

You are the origin of your own coordinate system. Everything is measured from where you stand.

The origin (0,0) is the foundational reference for Cartesian coordinates. In physics, selecting the origin is gauge fixing: defining the zero-potential state. Arbitrary but necessary for calculating relative motion, energy, and universal expansion from a singular departure.
