Consciousness First

Have you ever had a great idea for a drawing before you even picked up your crayons? Some people believe the whole universe started as a great thought in a giant mind. Instead of just rocks and gas making the world, it was consciousness — the ability to think and feel — that came first. This means that your thoughts are very powerful. When you imagine a better world or a kind act, you are using the same creative power that started the universe. You are not just a person living in the world; you are the world thinking about itself!

You are not just a person living in the world — you are the world thinking about itself. The eye cannot see itself. So the eye invented the mirror. The universe cannot experience itself. So the universe invented you. You are not an accident in the cosmos. You are the cosmos looking in a mirror. When you think a thought, the universe is thinking. When you feel joy, the universe is feeling joy. When you ask why am I here, the universe is asking why am I here. Consciousness did not evolve from matter. Consciousness is what matter does when it wants to know itself.

Wheeler's participatory universe and integrated information theory: consciousness as fundamental property of the universe, not a byproduct. The observer's role in collapsing the wavefunction suggests mind and matter are deeply intertwined. Idealism: the physical world as manifestation of deeper mental reality. SOUND: A song playing in your head without using your ears: proof that sound does not need air.

SMELL: Imagining fresh cookies until your mouth waters: the mind creating physical reality from nothing.

TASTE: Thinking about a sour lemon until your jaw tingles: consciousness bossing the body around.

TOUCH: Imagining soft kitten fur until you feel it: the mind touching what the hand cannot reach.

SIGHT: Eyes closed, visualizing a bright purple elephant: consciousness creating something that does not exist and seeing it anyway.

BODY: Imagining you are floating in water while sitting in a chair: the body obeying a reality the mind invented.
