Metabolism
Life is like a campfire that never goes out. You take in food or light and turn it into "power" so you can run, think, and grow.
You are a flowing river of energy. You don't just have energy; you are the energy moving through the world.
Metabolism is the coupling of exergonic and endergonic reactions via ATP. It is the bio-energetic engine that allows organisms to resist the Second Law of Thermodynamics. By channeling electron flow, life creates pockets of order in an increasingly disordered universe.
