Dark Energy
Dark energy is like a mystery wind that is pushing everything apart faster and faster. While gravity tries to pull things together, dark energy is the "anti-gravity" that wants the universe to grow forever. It is the most powerful thing in the cosmos, but we don't know what it is yet!
There is a gentle but unstoppable force ensuring that the story of the universe keeps getting bigger.
Dark Energy is the best-fit explanation for the observed accelerated expansion of the universe (Type Ia Supernovae observations). Often modeled as the Cosmological Constant or vacuum energy density that remains constant as space expands. It represents "The Infinite Breath" β the underlying pressure that prevents the universe from collapsing in on itself.
SOUND: The "whoosh" of a fast car passing by that keeps going until it disappears.
SMELL: The smell of the ocean breeze. It feels like it comes from everywhere and nowhere.
TASTE: Peppermint. It feels like it's "expanding" or cooling your whole mouth at once.
TOUCH: Pushing two magnets together the "wrong" way so they shove each other apart.
SIGHT: Watching a cloud dissipate and grow thinner until it fills the whole sky.
BODY: Imagine you are floating in a pool and slowly drifting away from your friends without swimming.
Music: Either Way by Chris Stapleton
