Homeostasis
Homeostasis is like a smart thermostat inside you. When you get too hot, it turns on the "AC" (sweat); when you get too cold, it turns on the "heater" (shivering). It keeps everything "just right" so you can stay alive and happy.
Close your eyes and feel the "inner quiet" that stays still even when the world is noisy.
Homeostasis is the dynamic equilibrium maintained by physiological feedback loops. It represents the biological imperative of self-preservation via Negative Feedback Systems. This connects to Cybernetics (the study of control systems) and Taoism, where the "Middle Way" is the peak of existence.
