The Block Universe Theory
Think of time not as a river flowing by, but as a giant loaf of bread that already exists. You are just a tiny ant crawling through one slice at a time, so you think the future has not happened yet. But if you could step outside the loaf, you would see the beginning, the middle, and the end all sitting there at once. This means your birthday, your first day of school, and your future adventures are all real and existing right now in different slices. You are never truly gone from the past because that slice of the bread is still there.
The bread is already baked. You are just tasting one slice at a time. But every slice is real. Yesterday is still there. Tomorrow already exists. You are the ant who thinks it is walking forward.
Based on Einstein's Special Relativity, Eternalism suggests the distinction between past, present, and future is a stubbornly persistent illusion. In this four-dimensional manifold, time is simply another dimension. If all points are equally real, Prophecy is merely a description of a coordinate that already exists. Your entire life is a world-line — a curve etched into the cosmos that never fades.
SOUND: A recorded song where you can skip to any second: the music is already there.
SMELL: An old library where every story is already written on the shelves.
TASTE: A multilayered cake where you can see every flavor at once from the side.
TOUCH: Running your hand along a long, cold metal rail: past to future in one stroke.
SIGHT: A film strip laid out on a table showing every frame of a movie at once.
BODY: Standing still and feeling like you are occupying a specific spot in space-time.
