Dormancy
Dormancy is like nature's Pause button. A seed might look like a tiny, dry pebble that is not doing anything, but inside it is waiting for the perfect moment to wake up. Bears do it during winter, and trees do it when they lose their leaves. It is a time to save energy and protect the spark of life until the world is ready for it to grow again. Being still and quiet is not the end; it is just getting ready for a big start.
Being still and quiet is not the end. It is just getting ready for a big start. The seed is not doing nothing. The seed is doing the hardest thing in nature: waiting.
Dormancy minimizes metabolic cost and increases survivability under stress. Growth, development, and physical activity temporarily stopped while genetic potential remains fully intact. The death that is not really death — external expression of life suspended while the blueprint waits. A biological manifestation of strategic patience at the molecular level.
