Resource Allocation
Inside a seed, there is a tiny lunchbox of energy called the endosperm. The seed uses this energy to push its first tiny root down and its first tiny leaf up. It has to be very careful not to run out of food before it reaches the sunlight. This is like having a battery that you have to use wisely to finish a big project. It shows us that we have the strength inside us to get started, even when things seem dark.
You have the strength inside you to get started even when things seem dark. The seed does not wait for the sun. It spends its last energy reaching for it. Faith is a battery. Use it before the light arrives.
Resource allocation is a thermodynamic necessity. The seed must manage entropy by converting chemical potential energy into kinetic growth. Efficiency of energy use determines the truth score of survival. The endosperm is a finite fuel tank — every calorie must count. Connects to economic theory: scarcity and choice within a closed system. You are born with exactly enough to reach the light.
SOUND: The low hum of a distant engine: stored energy vibrating.
SMELL: Roasted nuts or seeds: you can smell the stored energy.
TASTE: The creamy flavor of a sunflower seed: concentrated fuel.
TOUCH: The weight of a heavy backpack on your shoulders: carrying your resources.
SIGHT: A single candle lighting up a dark room: small energy, big impact.
BODY: Tension in your muscles before you jump: your body allocating everything to one moment.
