Pre-established Harmony

Imagine two clocks perfectly synchronized. They both chime at exactly the same time, but they are not connected by any wires. This idea says your soul and your body are like those two clocks. They do not actually talk to each other, but they were both set to start at the same time by the Great Spirit. Your Free Will and your Fate are like two dancers who know the steps so well they do not even need to look at each other to move together.

The two clocks were never connected. They were set by the same hand. Freedom and fate are not enemies. They are dance partners.

Leibniz proposed Pre-established Harmony to solve the mind-body problem. Monads (simple substances) do not interact, but internal states are coordinated by God. Suggests a deep underlying Source Code ensuring all seemingly separate parts of the universe maintain constant rhythmic alignment. Freedom is the unfolding of one's internal nature in perfect timing with existence.
