Fatalism
Imagine reading a book that has already been printed. No matter how much you want the hero to turn left, if the book says he turns right, he will turn right. Fatalism is the feeling that the ending of our lives is already written in the stars. It can feel scary, but it can also feel very peaceful because it means you do not have to worry about making wrong moves. You are just here to see how the story goes!
The book is already printed. But you still turn the page. Knowing the ending does not erase the experience of reading.
Fatalism holds what will be, will be. Unlike determinism which focuses on cause and effect, fatalism focuses on outcome inevitability. Block Universe theory suggests past, present, and future all exist simultaneously. We are not creating the future but discovering it. Recognition of the Totality.
