Biological Continuity
Every living thing is part of a very long race that started a long, long time ago. Your job in this race is to stay healthy and pass the baton, which is your DNA, to the next runners. This baton has all the secrets of life written on it! When people have children or take care of nature, they make sure the story of life keeps going. It is like being part of a never-ending movie. Even though we do not stay forever, the life we carry does.
You are not a single life. You are a relay runner in a race that started before memory. The baton never drops.
From a biological standpoint, life's purpose is genetic replication: the Selfish Gene theory. But continuity extends beyond reproduction to biosphere maintenance. Connects us to every ancestor and future descendant, creating physical eternal existence through the stream of life.
