Reproduction and Continuity

Life's main job is to keep the "light" going. Even though people and animals grow old, they pass their spark to the next generation so the fire of life never goes out.

You are a link in a chain that is billions of years long. You are life's way of continuing forever.

Biological continuity is the process of Autopoiesis β€” systems that are capable of reproducing and maintaining themselves. Reproduction is the ultimate teleological drive in biology; it is the mechanism by which organic information achieves a form of temporal immortality despite individual senescence.
