The Singularity (The Source)

Imagine the whole wide world, all the stars, and even your toys were squeezed into a tiny tiny dot that was smaller than a grain of sand. This dot was super hot and held all the stuff that would ever be. Because everything was in that one spot, it means you were once touching every star in the sky! It shows us that even though we look separate now, we all started as the exact same thing. When you feel lonely, remember that you carry a piece of that original everything inside you. You are never truly alone because you are made of the same magic as the sun.

You were once touching every star in the sky. Before the beginning there was no before. There was no room for a before. Everything that would ever exist was compressed into a point smaller than the period at the end of this sentence. You were there. The star you wished on last night was there. The person you love most was there. The oak tree in your yard was there. You were not near each other. You were each other. Separation is an illusion that began fourteen billion years ago and has been getting more convincing every day. But the atoms in your left hand were forged in a different star than the atoms in your right hand. You are a reunion that never stops happening.

The singularity: initial condition where general relativity and quantum mechanics converge and break down. Infinite density, zero volume — the alpha from which spacetime emerged. Monism: all reality is ultimately one substance. Separation is an illusion fourteen billion years old and getting more convincing every day. You are a reunion that never stops happening.

SOUND: A singing bowl filling the whole room with one note: one vibration before there were two.

SMELL: Fresh rain — a scent recycled on Earth for billions of years: the oldest perfume still wearing its original bottle.

TASTE: A pinch of sea salt — minerals from the very beginning: the taste of the first day.

TOUCH: Thumb and pointer finger pressed together — two things becoming one: the singularity between your fingers.

SIGHT: A single candle flame in a dark room: the first light before it had anywhere to go.

BODY: Eyes closed, feeling the center of your chest where your heart beats: the singularity you carry everywhere.
