The Rock Cycle
Rocks never die; they just change shape! A rock can melt into liquid (Igneous), crumble into sand and stick back together (Sedimentary), or get squeezed by heat until it changes completely (Metamorphic). Every rock you find was once something else.
Nothing is ever truly lost. Everything β including you β is just in a different stage of a beautiful, never-ending change.
The Rock Cycle represents the lithospheric manifestation of the Law of Conservation of Mass. Through subduction, lithification, and metamorphism, the crust undergoes constant chemical and textural re-equilibration. It is a closed-loop system powered by both internal (geothermal) and external (solar/tidal) energy. It connects to Reincarnation and Continuity: the "form" is temporary, but the "substance" is eternal.
SOUND: The "clack" of two different rocks hitting each other.
SMELL: The smell of hot asphalt (like melting lava).
TASTE: The gritty feel of a tiny grain of sand (weathered rock).
TOUCH: Feel the difference between rough sandstone and smooth marble.
SIGHT: Watch a candle melt and then harden again.
BODY: Stretch your muscles; like rocks, you are being "reshaped" by pressure.
Music: Stop Crying Your Heart Out by Leona Lewis
Music: Brain Damage by Pink Floyd
