Sometimes, a tiny typo happens in the DNA code. Most of the time it doesn't matter, but sometimes that "typo" gives a creature a new superpower, like a bird with a better beak or a faster runner. This is how life tries new ideas.

Even your mistakes are part of a bigger plan to help you grow and change for the better.

Mutations are the "Global Reliability Modulator" in action. They introduce the necessary variance to prevent the Base Convergence of a species from becoming stagnant. While often stochastic, they provide the raw material for natural selection to drive the complexification of life.
