Interpsychic Connection (The We)

Even though we have our own bodies, our Observers are all looking at the same world. When you feel sad for a friend, that is your awareness touching their awareness. It is like we are all different lights plugged into the same giant battery. We are never truly alone because the Observer inside me is just like the Observer inside you. We are all part of the same big family of life.

We are all different lights plugged into the same giant battery. When you are in a room with someone you love, your heart rates sync. Your brain waves sync. Your breathing syncs. This is not poetry. This is measurable. Two bodies in proximity become one system. The border dissolves. And for a moment, the Observer in you and the Observer in them are looking out of the same window. This is why loneliness hurts like a physical wound — because it IS a physical wound. The system was designed to run in pairs. In groups. In families. The battery is shared. The light is individual. But the electricity is the same. And when the lights get close enough, they stop flickering. And glow steady.

TASTE: Sharing a meal with people you love: the same food tasting better because the observers are together.

TOUCH: A long warm hug from someone who cares: two nervous systems negotiating a truce through the skin.

SIGHT: Looking into someone's eyes and smiling: two witnesses recognizing each other without words.

BODY: Holding hands in a circle and feeling the connection: the body proving what the mind already suspected.
